Student Spotlight
Mikaela Carter
HS Senior
From day one, Mikaela Carter has been lighting up every room at Forest Lake. She makes everyone laugh, feel loved, and cherished, and her presence is a blessing to our school. Mikaela's favorite high school memory has been all the exciting events including dances and spirit weeks! Some other things about Mikaela is that she loves to bake; especially bread. She also loves to read, knit, watch movies, and spend time with her family. She is passionate about school unity and building people up as this is demonstrated in her involvement in the roles of Spirit Week Coordinator, Yearbook Editor, and Senior Class President, both supporting her to take action. After high school, Mikaela plans to go to college and major in Business/Communication. She hopes to take all the things she has learned throughout high school and possibly start a small business cultivating community. Looking back on her time in high school, her best piece of advice is to “Live fully in the moment, read your bible, and don’t forget to live, laugh, love.”

We believe that everyone deserves to stay warm during the cold months, and you can help make that happen! Please bring your gently used or new coats to Mr. Mireles' room by December 20th. Your generous donations will bring much-needed warmth and comfort to those in need. Let's come together to make a difference this winter!

A FEW HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST MONTH
The Falcon Recap
Veterans Day Celebration
On Veterans Day, our school community came together in a heartfelt assembly to honor and celebrate the sacrifices made by our nation's veterans. This special event was a beautiful blend of all ages, including students, staff, and family members, creating a tapestry of gratitude and patriotism. We were privileged to have veterans among us, sharing in this celebration of freedom and national pride. The highlight of the assembly was an inspiring speech by a distinguished guest, who vividly shared experiences of service and how we can actively support veterans today. The students' performances of patriotic songs added a stirring musical tribute, while a moment of prayer allowed us to give thanks and glory to God. The assembly was not just an event, but a profound experience that united us in appreciation and love for our country. Thank you to the amazing staff who helped put this together including Rochelle LaRocca and Matt Mireles. And a special thank you to Blaney Barr for teaching and leading our children in music.
Thanksgiving Feast
Our Elementary School's Thanksgiving Feast was an absolute blast, thanks to the amazing parents who put it all together! It felt like a big family gathering, with everyone chipping in. We had all the yummy stuff – turkey, tator tots, and apple juice, to name just a few. The feast kicked off with everyone, kids and grown-ups alike, joining hands in a big circle for a prayer. It was a really special moment. Then, we all dug in! The chatter and laughter just filled the room. By the end, everyone's bellies were full, and the kids were all smiles. A huge shout-out to the parents for keeping this awesome tradition going and making it such a fun and memorable day for all of us!
Operation Chirstmas Child Packing Party
Our school's Operation Christmas Child packing party was a total hit! Both middle and high school students, along with the staff, came together for an incredibly fun and meaningful time. The hallways were alive with the sound of Christmas music, creating a festive atmosphere as everyone got busy packing boxes. Each box was filled with an assortment of gifts, ranging from toys and toiletries to clothing, all destined for children around the world. The vibe was just awesome – everyone was in high spirits, chatting and laughing as they worked. And of course, what's a packing party without some treats? Hot chocolate and cookies were on hand, giving everyone that extra bit of cheer. One of the most touching parts was when students wrote personal notes to the child receiving their box, adding a heartfelt, personal touch to each gift. It was more than just a fun event; it was a beautiful way of spreading joy, kindness, and God’s love across the globe.
